Welcome to STO Chain Bridge. By accessing or using our bridge service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the STO Chain Bridge platform ("Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Service Description
STO Chain Bridge provides a decentralized token bridge service that allows users to swap tokens between:
- STOOS tokens on Kaia Network
- STOC tokens on STO Chain
3. Eligibility
To use our Service, you must:
- Not be a resident of any jurisdiction where the use of our Service is prohibited
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your wallet and private keys
- Ensuring the accuracy of all transaction details, including destination addresses
- Understanding the risks associated with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency transactions
- Paying all applicable fees and gas costs
- Complying with all applicable tax obligations
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal activities, including money laundering or terrorist financing
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the security of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. Transaction Limits and Fees
Fees:
- Bridge fee: 0.1% of transaction amount
- Gas fees: Variable based on network conditions
- All fees are non-refundable
We reserve the right to modify limits and fees at any time with reasonable notice.
6. Transaction Processing
Processing Time:
- Standard transactions: 3-5 minutes
- High traffic periods: Up to 15 minutes
Transaction Status:
- PENDING: Transaction is being processed
- APPROVED: Transaction completed successfully
- REJECTED: Transaction failed (automatic refund within 1 hour)
Important Notes:
- Once a transaction is submitted and confirmed on-chain, it cannot be cancelled or reversed
- We are not responsible for transactions sent to incorrect addresses
- Failed transactions will be automatically refunded, minus gas fees
7. Risks and Disclaimers
You acknowledge and accept the following risks:
Blockchain Technology Risks:
- Blockchain networks may experience congestion, delays, or failures
- Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities
- Network upgrades may temporarily affect service availability
Market Risks:
- Cryptocurrency values are highly volatile
- Token prices may fluctuate significantly during transaction processing
- We do not guarantee any specific exchange rate or value
Operational Risks:
- The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
- Third-party services (wallets, networks) may fail or become unavailable
- Bridge liquidity may be temporarily insufficient
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
We are NOT liable for:
- Any loss of funds due to user error, including incorrect addresses
- Network delays, failures, or congestion
- Smart contract vulnerabilities or exploits
- Loss of private keys or wallet access
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Our total liability is limited to the amount of bridge fees paid for the specific transaction in question.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless STO Chain, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms of Use
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Your violation of any third-party rights
10. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Emergency maintenance or security updates
- Network issues or third-party service failures
- Force majeure events
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Service at any time without liability.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the STO Chain Bridge platform are owned by or licensed to STO Chain. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
- Reverse engineer or decompile our software or smart contracts
12. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process:
- Wallet addresses
- Transaction data
- Email addresses (when provided)
- Usage analytics
All data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be:
- Posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Notified to users via email (when email is provided)
- Effective immediately upon posting for minor changes
- Effective 30 days after posting for material changes
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have:
- Violated these Terms of Use
- Engaged in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Posed a security risk to the platform or other users
Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Service.
15. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Process:
1. Informal Resolution: Contact us at support@stochain.io to attempt resolution
2. Mediation: If unresolved, parties agree to good-faith mediation
3. Arbitration: Unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in Da Nang, Vietnam
Class Action Waiver:
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class actions.
16. Miscellaneous
Severability:
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement:
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and STO Chain.
No Waiver:
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Assignment:
You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
